21st District Twinning Anniversary held at KhaoLak Phangna Thailand from 27th February to 1st March was participated by Z16C PP Jessie Ng with 16 other Lions from District 308B2 headed by DG Ooi Chao Syhuan, GLT Area Leader PCC Dato Patrick Chew, Multiple DC PDG Shaw Lee, Multiple DC PDG Oon Peng Lam, 1st VDG SN Tai, PDG Woon Fong Piew & wife Molly, ZC Alex Soo, ZC Lee Sing Peng and wife Chin Yen Su, DC May Chin, DC Douglas Oh, PP Eric Foong of LC PJ Metro, PP Chang Gwo Chyang of LC Kampar, PP Tung Mun Tat of LC Tapah Cenral & Kenny Tan Hin of Georgetown. Other participants included Lions from Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei & Thailand. It was hosted by Lions Club of KhaoLak Andaman headed by President Rabiab Anusasananun.
Fellowship Night theme Cowboy Night was held at Golden Hills Mountain Resort. I believe there were more than 500 guests all dress to the theme. The setting was very impressive, 20 food stalls serving local delicacies, 3 game stalls, live band playing on stage to the setting of cowboy town belting out catchy country songs, horses galloping around the compound, pony rides for children, dancing and obviously fellowship prevail. The fellowship was to raise funds for medical aid & equipment to their local hospital
28 February 2015 we gathered at Takuapa Hospital to witness the presentation of an ECG machine to Takuapa Hospital. Two bus loads of Lions were received by the Director and hosted with tea for us. We were briefed on the hospital followed by speeches by various Lions and than all the DG's did a presentation. The whole event lasted 2 hours.
Thereafter, we proceeded for our half day Sightseeing Tour of PhangNga Bay, Southern Thailand. Packed lunch was served on board the ferry to save time while we cruise for half an hour to the famous James Bond Island, village on stilts, floating football field. The whole tour ended at 4 pm and headed back to hotel to prepare of the Banquet Night.
The official event was the DTA Banquet Dinner serving Thai Menu Set Dinner. Opening ceremony saw Thai girls parading with flowers and handsome man carrying the letter "L" adorned with purple orchids followed by military youth carrying the Flags of Participating Countries and LCI flags. Lots of exchanging of gifts among the District Governor, DC of International Relations & VDGs and Signing Ceremony of this Alliance which lasted 2 hours. Presentation of USD500 cash to President Rabiah and ended with guests dancing to "loy ka tong". The 22nd DTA will be hosted by Selangor Malaysia in 2016.
Some Lions had to attend the Steering Committee Meeting at Sentido Graceland Hotel while Eric and I with PDG Woon and wife Molly headed to Patong Beach for our extended stay of more seafood, tan bodies, sea activities, eye opening adventurous night life. Thanks to PDG Woon for hosting another Thai dinner too.

EGGMANIA PROJECT
A Friend of Lions donated 50 trays x 30 eggs collected by Lion Laticia and Anco. Members helped to deliver the eggs to some homes. Lion Yong to two Rumah Charis at different location, Lion Pung to Lotus Charity Care Centre will PP Lion Katherine to Home for Special Children Cheras, Lion Laticia, Anco and Mac to Pusat Sama-Sama. Each home got between 10 - 15 trays each.

25 Jan 2015 World Leprosy Day Project - Joint Project with District 308B1 and 308B2 Lions Clubs
Attended by President Yvonne, Nelson, Lynda, Josephine, Adelene, Jessie, 6 PJ Central Danny Liew, Anco, Mac, Pang, Yong & Laticia with 4 Friends of Lions.Considered successful for a project with so many Clubs participating from B1 & B2. Cons included too many fire crackers [40 strings] and Nelson apologise on his PA system.

18 January 2015 from 10 am - 11 am Lion Nelson Wong and Lion Danny Liew visited Mr. Ong Tham Chai age 65 years and his wife Mdm. Kelly Ho .
Mdm. Kelly contacted Lion Danny when she read about the Broga Health screening and his contact number was published in the Chinese media. She was seeking for medical aid assistance for her husband.
Their income derives from Welfare Dept RM300 and from Tsu Chi RM200 and their monthly expenses includes rental RM124, water RM25 and electricity RM50.00.
Club immediate assistance was contributing RM300 for her to get medication for her husband.
They were renting a room in Cheras for 4 years before shifting to Block 100, 2nd Floor, PPR Sri Pantai Flat, Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur.
However noted the flat is practically empty and the toilet leaking. The immediate need is a wheelchair, gas, stove, kettle, bed and a table. Other items needed included bed for Kelly, kitchen cabinet, dining table, etc. Planning another trip to her house on Sunday 25 Jan 2015 to give her some appliances.

3 January 2014 - 3rd District Governor Advisory Zone 16 Meeting held at Restoran Pin Wei Seafood in Puchong was presided by Z16C Jessie Ng witnessed by R5C Dr Victor John and DC & GLT coordinator Shirley Koh attended by President Yvonne Cheong and Secretary Lynda Yeng. Others in attendance were Key Officers from LC PJ Metro, LC Puchong and LC Hulu Selangor.

28/12/2014 Thanks giving for successful 1st Half 2014/2015.
Wrapping up the 1st Half of President Yvonne's year with a year end pot luck hi-tea at her beautiful residence which started at 3 pm. Free flow red and white wine was on President's house, food line contributed by members measured 10 feet long and turnout was President with her family of 5, Lynda with hubby Low CS, Irene, Peggy with hubby Henry, Chwee Chin, Josephine, Nancy with mom and yours trully the OC with my hub Eric Foong, MIL and my niece Alyshea and nephew William. From PJ Central we had the company of President Danny Loke with girl friend Gillian Ng, Danny Liew, Laticia Chong, Tracy Mak and Lion Soong KH of LC Petaling Jaya.
The knock-out cheese butter cake baked by Mrs Catherine Wong, Lions Nelson's wife was gone in a few seconds - yummy, yummy indeed. We celebrated December members and guest birthday namely Lion Danny on 23/12, CP Lynda on 25/12 and Alyshea on 26/12.
Menu on the house included : fried glutinous rice with Chinese sausage & nuggets by President Yvonne, seafood pasta by Nancy, egg and tuna sandwich by Lynda, curry pork with potato and steamed pumpkin & yam cake by Josephine, sesame & peanut Tong Yuen by Chwee Chin, fried vegetable by Peggy, various fruits by Danny, 3 flavour dumplings by Laticia, egg and cheese tarts by Tracy, and 3 dishes by OC Jessie, braised mushroom chestnut with pork, vegetarian kunyit fried mee hoon and grilled chicken wings.
