held on 15 May 2010 at Eastin Hotel, Penang
attended by
Incoming President Lynda Yeng and Jessie Ng.
Incoming President Lynda and Jessie with their respective spouse took the opportunity for a holiday up north and headed to Penang on Friday May 14, 2010. We managed to meet up with Lion Wang Chiew Ngo who graciously hosted a Szechuan lunch at Auto City and caught-up on the latest development of herself and Club activities. After lunch she showed us around Auto City and we bidded farewell around 3 pm.

Crossing the bridge, we headed to Snake Temple and thereafter checked into Berjaya Georgetown Hotel & rested before the Fellowship Dinner hosted by LC GTM at The Hainanese Restaurant, 1926 Heritage Hotel, Jalan Burmah. The long & tricky Jalan Burmah with split roads kept us circling almost 30 mins, however, thanks to CP Lion Danny who came to our rescue. We shared a table with 1st VDG-elect Shawn Lee and they had good turnout of more than 40 pax including Lions from Kota Budaya, KL Capital, some Penang Lions, PJ Metro and us. After dinner, there was a Birthday Celebration for all May Lions namely Lion Lily Teoh and Lion Danny Lim of LC GTM (both on 13/5) Lion Jessie Ng of PJ Mutiara (14/5) and Lion Densonne Yap of Kota Budaya (30/5) before we called it for the day, but the KB Lions fellowship till wee hours of the morning.

15/5/10 at 8.30 am Lion Danny picked us for breakfast, than onwards to Him Heang biscuit shop before sending us back to our hotel. We checked out of Berjaya Georgetown and went sight seeing, our first stop at Hard Rock Hotel, than to National Park, saw fishing boats coming in with big haul for the day, lunch at Restoran End of the World, stopped at Balik Pulau water dam and savour durian by the roadside before we check into Eastin Hotel at 4 pm. The Charter Anniversary with pompous entrance led by 3 piece trumpet players accompanied by little ballerinas ushered in LCI ID Hajjah Ellis Suriyati, DG Choong Kwei Loi and other Lions lumanaries.
Programme included signing MOU with Pantai Hospital Penang, Presentation of Awards, Recognition of Past Presidents, RM12,500 Cheque Presentation to SJK(C) Kong Min for setting up a language laboratory, Cake Cutting and more fellowship and dancing till 11.30 pm.
