Region 5 Diabetes Awareness Campaign

Event was held at Subang 3K Sports Complex, SS13 Subang Jaya at 7.30 am under the combine efforts of both capable Zone 15 Chairperson Mejar Patrick Chong and Zone 17 Chairperson Charles Woh as Organising Chairperson.  The morning started with energetic Zumba exercise for half an hour, followed by welcoming address made by Z15C Mejar Patrick and thereafter, our Guest of Honor PDG Woon Fong Piew was called upon to deliver his opening address.

The crowd witnessed the symbolic launching by PDG Woon with both OC releasing a bunch of blue and white balloons followed by a parade within the vicinity of the 3K sports complex.  When we returned from the walk, we noticed a crowd at the diabetes counter waiting for their turn to get their sugar level tested and advise from the in-house Doctor.  The event also saw the support from YB Hannah Yeoh, member of the Selangor State Assembly for Subang Jaya and Councillor Mr Kent Chia.

The club purchased 5 pcs. t-shirts [President Yvonne Cheong, Secretary Jessie Ng, Treasurer Adelene Yew, members Vincent Leong and PP Nelson Wong] while our Club Branch supported by purchasing 3 pcs. t-shirts [President Danny Loke, Secretary Danny Liew and member Pung Hong Ming].  On top of that, the Club donated RM200, our small contribution towards making this project a success.
